How this calculator works
A bigger package is not always the better deal — comparing the total price of two options does not tell you which one actually costs less per ounce, per item, or per unit. This calculator divides price by quantity for two options and shows which one is cheaper per unit.

Unit price: Total price ÷ Quantity
A real example
A 12oz bottle for $4.99 compared to a 24oz bottle for $7.49:
Option A (12oz)
$4.99 ÷ 12 =$0.416/oz
Option B (24oz)
$7.49 ÷ 24 =$0.312/oz
